1. Why is it important to use Gesso?

-Gesso provides a slightly toothed surface that allows oil and acrylic to adhere well. It is a foundation to your paints, decoupage or mixed media projects.

-Gesso is used as a primer to prepare the surface for  Decoupage. It enhances the vibrancy of the tissue and its colours. Apply additional coats of gesso if needed and let it dry fully before moving to the next step.

-Water can be added to Gesso to dilute it.
